Pamela Conway Caruso

Pamela Conway Caruso is a native of New Orleans with a BS in Advertising Design. Pams first position after graduating was Illustrator at the Tulane University Museum of Natural History where she produced scientifically accurate pen & ink illustrations of the fishes of Lake Pontchartrain. Some of her fish illustrations later became part of The Smithsonian Institutions Traveling Exhibition Service in the 1980s. Her illustrative impressions are usually colorful and whimsical representations of her beloved New Orleans, the Gulf Coast and nature-related subjects. A variety of printmaking techniques are evident in Pams current body of work. In addition to World Trade Center of New Orleans exhibits and Gulf Coast galleries, she is invited to conduct printmaking demonstrations and offers classes and workshops in the drypoint intaglio & botanical monoprint techniques at the New Orleans School of Glassworks & Printmaking. She also teaches by invitation at local schools, has been an archival volunteer at the New Orleans Museum of Art in the Department of Prints and Drawings, as well as an Instructor of Art at the museum.
